Sardis was once the capital of the Lydia Ancient Kingdom and one of the most important cities of its time under the Persian Empire. Wander through the ruins of the gymnasium, the Byzantine Shops and the Synagogue which dates back to the 2nd century A.D. when the Babylonian Jews were encouraged to settle here. We will also visit the Patroclos River where King Midas is said to have once bathed.
